Wie man berechnet
3 Methoden

Tracking ovulation is the single most important step if you are trying to conceive. Here is a breakdown of the three most popular calculation methods.

Methode 1: Kalender

This is the simplest way and is what our online calculator uses.

  • Schritt 1: Record the first day of your period for several months.
  • Schritt 2: Determine your average cycle length (e.g., 28 days).
  • Schritt 3: The Luteral Phase (time after ovulation) is almost always 14 days. Subtract 14 from your cycle length.
Gleichung: Ovulation Day = Cycle Length - 14

Methode 2: BBT

Your body temperature at rest rises slightly (about 0.5 - 1 degree Fahrenheit) after you ovulate due to progesterone.

  • Use a special BBT thermometer.
  • Take your temperature every morning before getting out of bed.
  • Look for a sustained rise. You are most fertile the 2-3 days before this rise.

Methode 3: OPK

These test strips detect the Luteinizing Hormone (LH) surge in your urine, which happens 24-48 hours before physiological ovulation.

When the test line is as dark as the control line, ovulation is imminent. This is the "Gold Standard" for home tracking.
